We, as consumers, have an important role to play to improve the situation for producers across the world. At Mossley Methodist Church we endeavour to use Fairtrade certified products (from over 4,500 of those available) whenever we cater.   

By buying direct from farmers at better prices, helping to strengthen their organisations and marketing their produce directly through their own one world shops and catalogues, Fairtrade offers consumers the opportunity to buy products which were bought on the basis of a fair trade.   Many supermarkets are now stocking Fairtrade goods.
 
Social Action

Millions of people's lives are affected by poverty and injustice.  Through our awareness compaigns we aim to challenge the causes of poverty, not just the symptons, and show the consequences of our action in the world. The more we know about how all our lives are interconnected the better we are able to seek solutions together.

Display panels and information boards in church keep us up to date with current issues and our stall on Mossley Farmers' Market gets the message across to many more people.
