Ministering the Messsage of Christ
Pastoral Care
We believe that people matter and so we have a pastoral care network. A team of people visit members and friends on a regular basis. Another team visit the housebound on a monthly rota. The minister and the pastoral team endeavour to visit anyone needing support at home, including home communion, or in hospital and they are in close contact with the Chaplaincy at Tameside Hospital. Please let them know of those who should be visited. The Methodist Church in Britain operates a policy of good practice in the care of children and young people. This church's Safeguarding Policy is displayed in the foyer. This policy is regularly reviewed. Any new church appointments are subject to the Safeguarding Policy. Flowers are given to brighten the church and enrich worship. After Sunday service they are taken out to the sick and housebound.
Transport is offered to those who would otherwise not be able to attend worship or other activities.
