Church Activities  

Choir
The choir meets every Monday at 7.30 p.m. for practice. We are a band of around a eighteen people and we enjoy an hour or so of singing. We are a very friendly crowd and would welcome new members, men and women, who have a love of music.   We sing at Communion and other services about once a month. We also visit other churches to share in worship and have sung at weddings by invitation.  At present we also have a church concert twice a year.

Bright Hour
This is an ecumenical group, meeting each Tuesday at 2.30 p.m. in church. On the third Tuesday of the month we meet in Marsden Close. A full programme of speakers is enjoyed from the first week in September through to the following July. We have a wide variety of topics from holiday snaps through singing to devotionals. Everyone is welcome. There is a diary of dates and speakers/activities on the notice board.  

Fellowship
We meet for friendship and fellowship every fortnight on Wednesdays 8.00 - 9.30 pm in the armchair lounge at church. In a relaxed atmosphere we chat, discuss, pray, sing, laugh and enjoy a cuppa. Different people lead each session - nothing too deep! Each evening is self-contained - even though we may occasionally follow a theme over more than one meeting. This is a good place to get to know people and make new friends in an informal setting. All are welcome.

Thursday Refreshments

 
Church is open from 10.00 - 11.30 a.m for the community to have a cuppa, a slice of toast or a toasted teacake and a good chat with friends. It is a chance to unwind after a hectic morning's shopping at Mossley Co-op and the Fish Van. Refreshments are prepared by church volunteers who are always glad of an extra pair of hands. Table Tennis
A jolly group meet each Thursday and Friday at 10 a.m. to play table tennis. Anyone is welcome to join us. Any standard of play, we will soon improve you. Contact: Bessie Furness (01457 835949) 

Churches Together in Mossley
All Mossley churches belong to this group. It encourages cooperation between the churches and arranges such events as Songs of Praise, Lent courses and the Whit Friday walks.
